A very tough exam today. I didn't think I would pass due to the tough questions that were presented but turned out I did quite well with 80%. I've gone straight to the pub. Thanks for all your help.
A note for people studying this exam:
* Buy and read the Sybex book, this was a bible with my studies. It explained things clearly and really helped with some tricky subjects.
* After you've done the Sybex tests (including online) download the OCA Java app. Note they're very similar to the Sybex questions but they help nonetheless.
* Download and purchase the Enthuware exams. I first looked at them and closed the program because they looked alien to me. But with persistence, they become a useful tool in answering the questions.
* The exam features a lot of questions asking you to identify which lines don't compile. Make sure you know what and what doesn't compile.
If you plan on challenging yourself with the Java OCP 809 exam then you may want to look read the stories from others which can be found on the OCP Wall Of Fame https://coderanch.com/wiki/659976/Ocpjp-Wall-Fame.
Reading these stories you can see how others have prepared, what resources they used and more. This could save you time, money and frustration.
