Well, congratulations to all of you, and keep up the good work.

But in the lower regions (the 'Master' categories), there are some remarkable promotions, leading me to suspect there may be some small bug somewhere. In terms of Devaka: could it be that the dark anti-matter positron-anti-gluon converter needs a fix?

Are there some ghosts in these lists?
I've never seen posts by  "r ranson" or Nicole Alderman

Coderanch has a sister site, of sorts, at permies.com.   As you might guess, there is a private forum here on coderanch that only staff can see.   And sometimes the staff from permies comes over to coderanch and participates in discussion about features and policies and stuff.

The monthly scores are based on about 50 different staff tasks.  Including giving cows and receiving cows.  I guess that these two people have done enough in that space while being extremely active on coderanch that their scores made it onto the staff promotion list!  Wacky!

I see, I had no idea about this.

So, is it possible that, some month in the future, Norm, or for that matter me, will be a Ranch Foreman at permies.com? Looking forward to it! But with this policy a rancher and a ranch hand are missing a possibly well deserved promotion. Hmm...

If you become active at Permies, yes.

The labels at permies.com are a little different - but the idea is very similar!

Well, just looked up the meaning of 'permie'. Hmm, when it comes to all things gardening and such, I must admit having two left hands (three, according to misses).

Two years ago I rented an external garden for my wife (she loves gardening), and as soon as the water on the complex is turned on and the weather becomes nice, I will have to start pruning the cherry tree, to avoid maritual disharmony. So, yeah, permies.com: hold your breath, here I come!

Thanks for the Ranch Foreman (I don't want to look up the definition) promotion. Don't know much about cows, ranches, etc., I am a vegetarian. I've read one book about ranches and cowboys - "Lonesome Dove" and it was a good read.

Know little bit of software and I've been vary of this line of work since I read this quote long time back "If builders built buildings the way programmers wrote their code, the first woodpecker would destroy the civilization! " (I think the quote is a Murphy's law or something like that).
