The info is not sufficient. Can you explain what db, what you were trying to do and when you are getting this exception. Looks like the server is not reachable. Did you tested the DB outside of WL from the same server?

--ok.
Can you explain what db
-- Oracle 9i

what you were trying to do
-- Trying to execute a query in the web application in this database through Oracle driver.

and when you are getting this exception.
-- Some of the queries run ok. for some it gives this error of connection reset.

Looks like the server is not reachable. Did you tested the DB outside of WL from the same server?
-- database is running fine. Tested the same.

Let me know if you still needs more info...
Thanks

I think you have to talk to you DBA. Oracle is closing the connection or refusing to take request. In addition check the OS setting for max tcp sockets allowed. This is specific to the environment.

You can also check the connection timeout settings in your weblogic console for the connection pool which you are using. May be the connection timeout is too short for some of the queries that take considerably longer time to complete execution.

The problem is resolved now. The problem was that there is another application running on my PC which is using the same port as of weblogic debugger i think 8453. I stopped that application, now the debugger is running fine. Thanks All.
