Hello Anne and Zak,

Congratulations on your new book!

What are the top reasons to upgrade to (or purchase) this edition as opposed to the previous edition of this book?

Thanks,
Charles

Unfortunately Anne won't be joining us Charles but thanks for the welcome! The biggest reason for me is the inclusion of Flexible Box Layout and Grid Layout. Both topics have their own chapters devoted to them and we're really proud on how they turned out. Additionally we included a chapter that glosses over some third-party tools that as a front-end web developer you should know. Topics like SASS, Git/GitHub, Gulp, Node, and Bootstrap are covered. Also, we made the switch from Aptana to a much simpler dev tool in Brackets and also briefly cover Emmet which is an awesome plugin for helping you quickly write HTML markup using CSS syntax. We also included a section on working with fonts using third-party tools like Font Awesome and added support for more tags and additional CSS techniques. We spent more time on this edition than any other edition so far. It's a great book!
