Once again, thanks for writing a great book, for being there when needed, answering questions in these here forums, being responsible adults. The Java language is lucky to have ALL of this in its support.

Thanks!

I have passed all my Java Certifications since Java 1.2 thanks to Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates.
No doubt whoever picks up this grand prize will be able to do the same to any OCP Java SE 8 Programmer II Exam.
Thanks for all the hard work. We really appreciate it.

Dear Kathy, Bert, and Elisabeth,

I've postponed taking 1Z0-810, because I want to read your guide book. Now that you have published this book, I can now schedule my 1Z0-810 exam. Thank you.

BTW, I read your wonderful book of exam guide for 803 and 804.

Hi Sean,

Make sure you checked exam objectives you need to study and you may skip: you're taking 1Z0-810, and book is fo 1Z0-809.

Just FYI...

And yes, great tech editing on this book :-) . Thank you SO much to the tech editors!!!

Definitely check the objectives carefully depending on which exam you're taking.

p.s. No aliens in the book (that I know of)... but they are out there.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your warm welcomes! Please be sure to thank all of the folks on the technical review team. They did an incredible job, and the book is much, much better because of their efforts!

Also, thanks to all the ranchers who have taken time in the last few years to add errata entries to the JavaRanch errata list. We looked through all of the errata on the list, and there were many really good catches you guys made! (We didn't fix everything you guys mention, but we consider all of the suggestions on the list!)

Folks, really happy to see this book. Happy to see you all here too. Many thanks to all 3 of you and the technical review team. Please release books much earlier once Java 9 exams are in place.

Now, I only need to find the time to study.

I read the SCJP6 version of this book several times before taking the SE6 exam and found it very useful.
It's good to see an updated version as I hope to be taking the OCP8 exam real soon now.

I am an old-schooler, first passing my 1.4 exams on Kathy and Bert's books.  Now I am overdue a refresh, and I am pleased to be using their books (and Elizabeth's) again.

Hi Kathy, Bert and Elisabeth!

Your previous book helped me a lot to pass my Java 6 Programmer Certificate!

I am very curious about the content of the book and I hope it will help me with the exam also this time.
