Do I need to change <!DOCTYPE in applicationContext.xml after spring upgrade

If I need to upgrade a Spring 2.x project to Spring 3 or 4, other than replacing the spring jars, do I also need to change the applicationContext.xml's <!DOCTYPE...>?

For example it is like now.  Do I need to change it for Spring 3 or 4 ?
