Hi all,

The subject pretty much says it all.  Despite days of searching, I can't find why the Hibernate configuration below is not automatically restoring connections timed out by MySQL.  Consequently, after a period of hours, attempting to logon to the webapp fails with a JDBC non connection exception (attempting a few more times eventually produces in a live connection).

Your assistance would be appreciated, to what surely must be a very basic need for nearly all webapps: reliable connection to a back-end database..
