I am preparing for java 8 certification but I am wondering how soon java 9 will be used by companies and how soon we will require to have java 9 certification?

It will vary from company to company; some people probably are already on Java9. With the new rapid release schedule, however, there may be no such thing as a Java9 cert exam. We don't know yet, but you can find out any info from the Oracle website. Some people will only use LTS releases, so they may go from Java8 to Java11, and maybe the exam will go from LTS to LTS, in which case there will be a Java8 version and a Java11 version. But we don't know that yet.

Did you just should on me? You should read this tiny ad:
