Q. Given an array of integers, calculate the fractions of its elements that are positive, negative, and are zeros. Print the decimal value of each fraction on a new line.
The output has to be in 6 decimal points.

Problem: It's showing me compile time error. "Solution.java:38: error: cannot find symbol
        System.out.println(df.format(result1));"

The problem is in the print of results. Can you please give me a hint on how to overcome this issue?

You have declared "result1" inside this block enclosed by braces ({}). This variable is only visible inside this block and once execution continues past the closing brace the variable disappears. To fix this declare the variable at line 37. Also note that your division is being done as integers, not as double. You'll need to cast one of the arguments to double.

Also, I can predict the six digits after the decimal point from here: 000000. You are not doing any double arithmetic there.
Why are you using DecimalFormat rather than printf?
