"Error: Could not find or load main class packageb\ClassB"

What is the current directory where the java command is issued?
The current directory should contain the packageb folder.

Also try java packageb,ClassB

To copy the contents of the command prompt window:
Click on Icon in upper left corner
Select Edit
Select 'Select All' - The selection will show
Click in upper left again
Select Edit and click 'Copy'

Paste here.

The java command takes the full classname of the main class, not the file path.
So it's:
java packageb.ClassB

(I suspect that ',' was a typo, Norm?)

Yes, should be a dot not a comma - typo.
