I'm trying to create an aspect, but I keep getting an error saying that an interface is required.

Here is my code:
aspect TimeZoneConversionAspect
{

}

I've also tried the following code and I got the same error. What could be going wrong?
public aspect TimeZoneConversionAspect
{

}

Please provide more details of the error message. What interface does it want? Is that supposed to be a method or a constructor? In both cases you must have () after the identifier (end of 1st line) and you may need parameters, too.

The compiler thinks that you think that "aspect" is a Java keyword. But it isn't, so the compiler is right. (The compiler is always right.) Perhaps you meant to use an annotation, like "@aspect"?
