All hail Ben!!  Remember me Ben?  I was one of the 4000 CF junkies that hooked up with you one year at Epcot Center!  Looking forward to the regex book!
Cheers,
Al Spohn

Hello Ben and welcome...

Is there on RegEx engine which is the basis (the foundation) of all or most of the RegEx engines that are used in modern languages?
For example, Java's RegEx engine (one of which is FREJ) is different than C++'s RegEx engine (one of which is DEELX).

Which RegEx engine(s) do you cover in your book?

Thanks and best to you.

Tony

Tony Esposito, please post that question in a new thread by itself, otherwise you can't win the book.
You might be able to make two questions out of it, which will improve your chances

Welcome Mr Forta.  IMHO, the world can't have too many Regular Expressions books.  It boggles my mind how often people write oodles of code that could be done with a simple (ha!) Regexp.
