Hi everyone,

I'm a 30 year old web developer. Been working for 8 years in the field. I have a degree in Computer Science.

More than half of my work responsibilities are more application administrative related and over time I've lost some of my programming skills. Also feel like there were gaps in my programming education. So I'm starting to take time on my own to go back to the basics and relearn Java and related tools. I joined the Ranch to help me on that journey.

I remember visiting JavaRanch years ago for help (never an active member) and I'm glad to see it's still a very friendly place. I also really like how the forums are categorized. And I have to admit, there's a little bit of nostalgia that brought me here as well.

Thank you admins for doing a great job with this site.
