hi guys
Just took the IBM Certified Websphere Specialist v3.5 Std. Edition test, and passed it.
Now i got a paper with my passing score. What do i have to do to get a certificate from IBM, do i have to register this info in any website or something like that.
Any help from who are already certified is greatly appreciated.
regards
Vithal

Congrats, by the way.
The certificate comes soon enough - I don't recall having to fill out any web-forms or paperwork to get it.
What's next depends really on you - you can take 486 (OOAD with UML) to get a certification as a Solutions Developer for WebSphere, or you can take 409 (Administration) or 498 (WebSphere Advanced Edition)....
I know that doesn't quite help, but it's just some ideas.

thanks guys
well, i was thinking about going in the direction of Websphere Administration ( Test 409 )
Actually the thing is that i am out of job since 3 weeks and nothings happening on that front, so i thought i could take this test, you know to keep my mind off the vexed issue of job. :-)
Anyway, it turns out that there are'nt that many jobs coming my way, think of this 5+ yrs experience, close to 2 yrs of that on Websphere , still no offers.
well anyway the adminsitrator jobs are plenty, i believe , so i thought i could do that, i mean other than clustering i pretty much know almost every thing that is there about websphere. so if i work on that slightly more, may be i should be able to crack ice ...
Any ideas or advise is highly appreciated
thanks a lot

Hi Vithal ! I am planning to take "IBM Certified Websphere Specialist v3.5 Std. Edition test". Can you tell, what material you used to pass this test?. I am planning to take this test.
I am new to WEBSphere and have never used websphere before. I have used weblogic though. Can you recommend some books or any other material.
Your reply is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey john ..
i think you better change mind and try not to go for the 406 exam cause. It would be better if you go for WAS 4.0 certifications.. cause WAS std edition is almost as if its outdated... thats what i think
me too has given the 406 exam but i am planning to upgrade myself
