Hello;

I have xml file which has this name: erp-aop-config.xml and it seems it is related to spring (anyway, the project contains spring, hibernate, maven, vaadin and activiti) and the database is oracle. Inside this xml file, there are aop-pointcut and aop-advisor as following:

It is mostly related to database (getting and saving) but I do not know why to use it and what it means?
What the execution means (what will do) and why it is placed the * before the package name and after the save or get?

Regards
Bilal
