Hi,
I am an experienced Java programmer that has mostly worked with business web applications. I'e done a couple Android apps but still have a lot to learn.
I am interested in Android and game programming . I don't know anything about game programming. It's cool you combine both.
Is this book appropriate for that level?

thanks,
Paul

I'm also a (former, circa Java 2) Java developer that is learning Android development. Does this book describe the differences between regular Java and Android Java?

the differences between regular Java and Android Java

The differences will be in the libraries used . In your code, you are still using basic/core Java classes and data types(Collections, data structures etc...) but instead of using something like Swing packages you will be using Android packages.
The core java packages have changed considerably since Java 2 .
