I dont know if it will work, I don't use xml configuration to often (I always use springboot), but try to do the requestmapping above your controller:

Or if it's the only method for that url you could just move your line 8 as a whole and skip the @GetMapping

I'll flag your post for some extra attention, but you'll have to wait till  someone else comes a long.
I don't really see anything wrong, but as I said I'm not to experiienced with xml configurations.
It might take a couple of hours, for most of the users it's not even 8am, but you'll surely get the help you need

Could you post your stacktrace, since what you posted isn't your error, but your server starting up

Warnings dont make your app fail. So you just get a 404?

Did you copy that config or write it yourself? Of seems weird to me not to put your jsp's in your WEB-INF, but you configurated it that way., zo it shouldnt be a prob. In springboot you have to put your config, so your application.properties, in your resources root, following that logica, I would move your config files.
I think, but once again i dont use XML, this line means the same
.
But maybe I should stop confussing you, since I dont really know and just wait till someone more familiar with XML config comes a long

If there are a lot of typo's, Im on my phone and have Dutch autocorrect on. I dont always notice when he changes something

well talking about if  I copied the config file then yes, but I have done the required changes but I guess I've missed something in the config file, hence the code ain't working.

The principale is the same. The big difference is that spring takes care of a lot of the config. What kind of build tool do you use?

You have to adjust you pom a bit, add a application.properties  and annotate your MainClass, that's about it. Could you post your pom

Add this to the top of your pom.xml:

Deppending on your project you will need to add aditional dependencies.
Your application.properties you put in you resource root and should look something like this:

If you use a db, tell me cause then you have to make aditional changes. Keep in mind that based on this, you would put your jsp's in webapp/WEB-INF/jsp
Finally annotate your MainClass with:

If you rather use Spring, be a bit more patient, there are a lot of "oldtimers" here on the site that surely can help you with your configuration

Most users are in the us, there it's only 9hr30, depending on the timezone of course , I know of two mods that are from the uk, but there it's also only 16hr30 so they're most likely still at work

Or I could report your post. Normally that's a bad thing, but at least then a mod will notice

ok so now the issue has been resolved it was a silly mistake, I had to do a small edit in the spring-config.xml file i.e I had to change to   and that's it.
