Hello everybody,

I'm working as a Java developer and I decided to pass the OCA Java Programmer 8 exam on Oct 26, 2018.
Here is my story of preparation:

My first step in preparing for this exam was making a OCA JP 8 curse Oracle Java Certification - Pass the Associate 1Z0-808 Exam on Udemy, which has show me how the questions are prepared and on what to pay attention to during preparation.

In the next step I was reading the great Book OCA: Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide: Exam 1Z0-808 from Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff. That Book enabled me to thoroughly familiarize myself with all exam topics.

Before the real Exam I was taking also the Mock tests for OCAJP from Ethuware. From the Las Day Test I had the result 76%.

On the next day I was taking the real exam and the result was 88%!

My next goal is OCP JP 8.

Greetings.

congrats on your success.
what was your previous score in enthuware?
Was it(enthuware) so close to the real exam?
what can I expect in real exam,if i always score 50% in all enthuware attempts?

Hello Poornima,

what was your previous score in enthuware?

I had two attempts to the Enthuware tests.
First I was making Objective-wise Tests. When I did not pass the test, then I studied again the problematic topic from this test, and after that I was making the test again.

Was it(enthuware) so close to the real exam?

Yes - I can say it was close and event sometimes harder than the Real Exam

what can I expect in real exam,if i always score 50% in all enthuware attempts?

I don't have any idea.
But after taking the Test, it's worth checking the answers that are given in Enthuware Test Studio, because they have very good explanation of  wrong and correct answers.
It can be very helpful in understanding what you must learn.

Good luck!

Doody calls. I would really rather that it didn't. Comfort me wise and sterile tiny ad:
