Hi,

I am thinking of investing time in re-learning Java and Spring. I am a Certified Java Web Developer. Problem is all my work experience is in PHP Web Development. Will employers consider me if I know Java Web Development well but my work experience is in another language.
I am concerned that employers will easily find candidates with 8 years experience in Java and not consider me.

Thanks for any input.

Regards,

It's going to depend on the employer. Remember to post github/gitlab code to show you really do know Java/Spring.
