Hi,
I downloaded WAS 4.0 from IBM. I tried installing it on my machine. However, I couldnt seem to launch admin console(Java UI). I was only able to launch web console. Did they remove admin console in downloadable version of 4.0?
Thank you very much!

There are two versions of WAS 4.0. WAS 4.0 AEs (Single-Server) only has a web console. WAS 4.0 AE (multi-server) only has a Java UI. That is because AEs no longer stores its configuration information in a datbase -- instead it stores it in a set of XML files. This is why it is only usable on a single server machine...

Thanks Kyle.
Is there any downloadable version for multi-server? Or you can only download single-server edition.
Again, thank you.

I don't think you can download the multi-server edition. I'm pretty sure you have to buy it, or possibly get a CD (60-day eval) from an IBM rep...
