I need to sort the HTML table by clicking each column header.
I used the function from this link https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_sort_table.asp
.It is working fine for string columns but failing to sort the numeric column values.
I tried by modifying the function but still it's not working. could you please suggest what changes I have to make in that function.

I suggest to use something like the Displaytag JSP tag library. It does what you ask, and simplifies a bunch of other things about creating tables.
