Hi,

I am planning to take up the OCMJEA architect exam.
I have already prepared for the part 1 Exam but i cannot take up the exam without taking up one of the mandatory training provided by Oracle as listed in the below link.
https://education.oracle.com/oracle-certified-master-java-ee-6-enterprise-architect/trackp_212
I have decided to take up the Java EE 7: New Features 2 day live class which is the cheapest among all the mandatory training which costs 21000 inr.
Problem is the class is available only on april 11, and that too is not confirmed because oracle needs atleast 2 people to provide the training and they told me if there are 2 or more people planning to take the live class on an earlier date they will even consider providing the classes earlier.
Please let me know if anyone is interested so we can enroll and complete the step 1 of mandatory training and then start preparing for the part 1 exam.

thanks.

Can you double check?
Maybe policy has changed, but earlier you were allowed to take all 3 parts without training.
Training was needed only for sending a certificate.

[UPDATE] For example, check this 4 years old thread: https://coderanch.com/t/642883/certification/OCMJEA-Mandatory-Training-Questions
A person took all 3 parts and then proceeded to training.

Thanks for your response Mikalai Zaikin. I called and checked again and Oracle support team confirmed I can take up the exam and take the training later. I just took the exam today and cleared it.

Congratulations Praveen. I am planning also for this certification. Do you mind to share your preparation story? It will help future aspirant like us.
Also do you have any information when Oracle is going to release new version of OCMJEA
