Kyle,
I'm not sure if you want to take questions here about your EJB WebSphere workbook, but I'm having trouble joining the Yahoo mail group. Also, I didn't see a link for reporting errdata at www.titan-books.com. I'm getting ready to work thru Richard Monson-Haeful's EJB book using your workbook, and am a little confused on the DB2 front. You list a link on page 6 to download a Personal Developer edition -> www.software.ibm.com/webapp/download/category.jsp?s=c&cat=data
I think that link has now changed. I downloaded and installed DB2 Universal Database Personal Edition. Based on
www-3.ibm.com/software/data/db2/udb/devl_ed.html I think I probably picked the wrong version. I should have installed DB2 Personal Developer's Edition , which includes Visual Age. Please advise, and a link to the download of the Personal Developers Edition would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find it.
Thanks,
Mike

It looks like these are different packages, but both contain the same DB2 Universal Database Personal Edition (Single User). My bet is I'm good to go with the workbook. Kyle, please advise if that is incorrect.
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, DB2 Personal Developer's Edition V7.2 is good for you to work with Kyle's Workbook.

Thanks for the answers, folks! Yup, either of the two new links work. For the workbook, all you need is DB2, not VisualAge.

Tony and Kyle,
I appreciate the input. WebSphere guru or bust. Kyle, like I mentioned earlier, I think the six month eval on AEs is an excellent move by IBM. It gives the developer long enough to ramp up their skills away from the client site. I see BEA is still sticking with the 30 day eval on WebLogic. I just don't get that. Just limit by the number of classes (i.e. IBM) or offer a client connection limit like Macromedia JRUN on the developer addition. Obviously, it will be the client site and not the developer making the buy decisions, but when a client is looking for advice, and a consultant walks in trained with one application server or the other, which one do you think the consultant is going to recommend. JMO.
