To answer the earlier question (about how long) - very. I just got my 488 certificate and laminated card yesterday, and I took the test a week before Thanksgiving. I'm still holding my breath on when the 489 card arrives.

It normally takes about 2 weeks to get your certificate from IBM. Since the recent Christmas holidays, it will take about a month. You can email them at firstname.lastname@example.org for your status. I still did not get my certificate for the 489 test. It passed it over a month ago. Daryl
