Royal Mail has issued a series of stamps celebrating British Engineering which includes the Raspberry Pi.

One of the greatest inventions, IMHO of the 21st Century. I have 2 of them sitting next to me, one with a touch-screen on it, one with HiFi stereo hat. And a Pi Zero running the front-door camera. About the only thing comparable in terms of ready computability is the Arduino, but being Italian, I don't think it's a major priority for the Royal Mail.

Please don't tell me that £1.50 is standard First Class postage, though. The USA just went up to 50¢.

Incidentally, they've now managed to produce superconductors that operate at 40°F/4°C. Should be about good for Brighton in August. Now if they can just come up with a way to produce the material without exerting so much pressure that diamond anvils won't crack.

No, it's 70p. Went up considerably about 7 years ago. It is one of the more expensive postal services now.

They privatised the Post, didn't they?

I don't suppose that they still do multiple deliveries per day like in Victorian times?

Yes

We had multiple deliveries when I was young; they stopped them a couple of decades ago. The service is nothing like what it used to be,
