How to optimize >10,000 Shape3d boxes in a group?

I'm making a Voxel terrain generator and am having performance issues when I exceed 10000-15000 box objects. After that, I get massive eframe drops. Is there a way to optimize this?

Is it possible to make turn all the boxes into one mesh while still retaining the colours of each box? I suspect this may help performance.
