I am newbie to websphere. What is the use of admin repository which is used while the installation of websphere ver 4.0 ?

It stores the configuration of all the app servers running under that admin server.

Hi mattson,
From ur reply, I came to know , we can use the same admin repository for different app servers. But If we are using so, I am facing some errors like add ejb module failed . IOException occured while loading webmod.war. Can you please throw some more light on this topic.

Ravi, I think exception is more your application specific and has got very little to do with Repository.
STill you can tell, when does this exception occur ???

The IOException on mebmod.war and other add ejb modules failed happens during the installation of the enterprise application
