Last month I took OCA examination and unfortunately failed it. During the examination I noticed i have an issue to go through the long code snippets. I spend too much time to read the question and provide a response. As a result around 10 questions were left unanswered.
I would like to get a recommendation on how i can improve this gap. This is really a stumble point from me. I am going through preparation materials again and want to schedule the exam once again.
Just for information I am new to Java and don't have any experience so far. I have no issues on grasp of OCA material.
It may help if you could provide more details. What in particular seems to slow you down when you read the questions?

On average I need to spend two minutes for one question. When it comes to bit longer code snippet with a few objects, constructors and loops (mainly it was related to encapsulation & polymorphism) it takes me more than the average time to respond the question. I guess i spend much time looking for tricks in a question.
