Feedback about Kaplan IT school

I bought a Kaplan IT Training Certification Package 1Z0-809 OCP JAVASE8 30-Day Assessment (Online) (https://www.kaplanittraining.com/certification/oracle/1z0-809)
to prepare myself for the java 8 Oracle Certified Professional exam (OCP).
The Kaplan Certification Package should have contained a set of exam-like questions with detailed explanations and references to grade the user preparation and to simulate the exam experience.
These are my feedbacks, I hope that can be usefull for the community:

The package price was of $89.00 and contained only 85 questions so, since the real exam is 85 questions too, the package contains only 1 preparation quitz. The price is quite expensive, being $1.04 per question, also considering the amount of errors I found in them.

These are the most relevant errors that I found, ignoring some trivial spelling errors that I don’t report here. Keep in mind that I didn't check all the solutions of the questions, since I only focused on those that I wrong and on the topics on which I had more difficulties:

1 – QuestionId 909025. The first part of the first line of code is missing in the question text. As it is the code does not compile and the question is difficult to understand. In fact the student does not know how to behave in front of a code that does not work, since among the options there is no "the code does not compile". See the attachment 909025.

2 – QuestionID 909088. A not existing java type (invented by Kaplan) - AtomInt - appears in the explanation of a question about atomic classes (see attachment 909088). Actually the correct name of the class is AtomicInteger. The mistake is serious since Oracle often rely on subtleties of this kind to trick candidates and test whether they know the correct class names. Therefore it is essential that the names of the classes are reported exactly.

3 – Question Id: 909033. The explanation of a question related to the Optional class says:
"You can use the map method of the Optional class ..... The map method accepts a stream...".
but this is wrong because the map method accepts a Function, and not a stream
public <U> Optional<U> map(Function<? super T,? extends U> mapper) (https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/util/Optional.html#map-java.util.function.Function-)

4 - Question ID: 908964. In the explanation of a question about inner classes, a class is declared as

But this Kaplan’s code does not compile, because an inner class cannot declare static methods!
Furthermore, another inner class makes an override of the method showSpecies() and it does not compile too because a non-static method cannot override a static method. Two errors for the price of one ($1.04). These errors are very serious because these are exactely the kind of triks that Oracle likes to do to test the candidates preparation and if a preparatory test contains such errors a student goes in confusion.

5 - Question ID: 859536. In the explanation of the question we see this code:

there is only a typo in the code  here, just to finish: one " too many after setLocation, so that also this line of code does not compile.

Judge for yourself which is the reliability of this school and if $89 is the right value for this preparation quitz.

I also sent them all these reports related to the various errors but, despite my request, they were NOT available to reimburse the cost of the quitz, not even partially.

It should be noted, with some concerns, that Kaplan appears to be the official provider of Oracle preparation tests, as can be seen on this page: "Buy from Kaplan with Credit Card". And here: "Through an alliance with Oracle University, Kaplan IT Training, formerly Transcender, is the official provider of Oracle certification exam prep materials." Yes, I reported all these errors in detail to them. However they were not available to reimburse me for the cost of the quitz, even partially, saying that by now I had however used the material for my preparation. In my opinion, given the errors, at least a partial refund would have been right.

You might want to try OCP Java 8 1Z0-809 Mock Exam from Enthuware. It costs only 10 bucks and we provide full refund if you find ANY mistake in our material.
