Why should the exam be more difficult? It covers different material, so you would expect it to be the same level of difficulty.

Sorry, let me rephrase it. Would it be trickier? In previous exams, Associate is easier than Programmer/Professional.
From my understanding 815 and 816 are now both Programmer level. So, would the level of difficulty be the same?

That is a lot clearer Don't know, but I would expect two “P” exams to be the same difficulty.

A few minuste ago, I wrote:. . . I would expect two “P” exams to be the same difficulty.

I had forgotten they had changed the names of the exams, so the part I test is probably similar to the old OCAxxx and part II to the old OCPxxx, but HM is online at the moment, and he will probably give a better answer than me.

Some topics covered in OCP Java 11 Part 2 (1Z0-816) are not easy to master. It covers more number of topics and API as well. So yes, 1Z0-816 is definitely harder than 1Z0-815 and will take substantially more effort to prepare for. As far as "tricks" are concerned, both the exams have moved away from puzzles.

I see. Appreciate the feedback. This makes the exam more exciting and challenging to take then.

That's my roommate. He's kinda weird, but he always pays his half of the rent. And he gave me this tiny ad:
