Hi Hanumant,

How long would it take an experienced Java developer to study for the exam with your book?

Thanks!

Not sure if this question can be answered definitively because it depends on a lot of factors. Most importantly because experience != expertise. We have seen experienced programmers fail the exam and, here on the ranch itself, 16 yr olds with no experience pass the exam.

Still, if I were to guess, an person with 2 yrs of Java development experience should be able to do it in a months time with a 2hr per day schedule. But really, one would have to determine this for themselves. Take a few mock exams, see where you stand, and then you will have a better idea of how much effort you need to pass this exam.
