RJK: welcome to the Ranch

Please ask that question as a new thre‍ad. No, I shall make a new thread for you from your question.
There are several books available, for example Urma Fusco and Mycroft Modern Java in Action and Cay Horstmann's book about Core Java 9 for the Impatient, which are up to date for Java9. Mala Gupta has a book about Java11 published by Packt, whihc looks forward to Java12/13.
Does it matter whether you learn changes from Java8 to Java9 and later 9 to 10, or go all the way in one fell swoop? If you use the books above, you will go in small stages, but there are doubtless other resources available to get you straight frrom 8 to 11/12.

Just check out the release notes for Java 9, 10, and 11. That way you will not miss anything.
There was a time when people used to remember which feature was added to the language when. Not anymore.

Hahahahahahaha! By the time I have learnt a new feature, it is nearly time for the next release anyway.
