Sounds like it is not a beta release, even if the IBM guy I spoke with this today was not aware the v5 is available

Is WSAD 5 available for download? I have a passport advantage contract, but I can't find where to download it from. Would you recommend using WSAD 5 right away, or waiting a few months until the "kinks" are worked out through efixes? I need a stable development environment. Has anyone actually used WSAD 5? Or is everyone relying on IBM's press releases for how great it is?
My intent is to upgrade to WSAD 5 but continue using WAS 4.0.3. My manager prefers to be about six months behind the latest WAS release so that the bugs have been worked out. I am looking forward to the enhancements of WSAD 5 and am interested if anyone knows how WSAD 5 and WAS 4.0.3 will work together. Any general feedback on WSAD 5 is also encouraged.
Well, actually they don't work very well together in a team environment. For instance, you can't use both WSAD 4 and a WSAD 5 in the same team project (They changed the project structures in WSAD 5). However keeping both together on the same machine is no problem -- I'm doing that now. It is generally much improved though -- faster, fewer crashes, and with tons of new features. Kyle, How/Why did they change the project structure in WSAD 5? How will this change affect projects that are deployed on WAS 4.0.3? I think you misunderstood my question -- I need to know if WSAD 5 can work with WAS 4.0.3, not with WSAD 4. If we move to WSAD 5, our entire team will move to this and abandon WSAD 4. Also, where can I get a copy of WSAD 5? I'd like to play with it myself. Thanks.
