Hi guys

been meaning to ask this for a while, bought a new laptop and setting stuff up.

Im having a problem with netbeans 8.2 and getting it to work with java, i installed the netbeans Java EE, thinking i might play with spring etc, can that be done on SE anyways?

I have both 32 and 64 bit versions of java 8 update 231 installed

(speaking of which should i write in 32 or 64? Its only basic console apps im writing so im guessing it wouldnt really matter)

then i have I have both 32 and 64 bit versions of java SE Development kit 8 update 231

lastly i have SE Development kit 13.0.1 (64 bit) - is this one and the one above the same thing? just 13 is newer?

my problem is that i cant get any thing to work in netbeans, buttons like new project do nothing, and i just need some help to determine what i need exactly.

if i uninstall SE Development kit 13.0.1 (64 bit)  it works perfectly, is this ok?

thanks for reading

No, the two are different

if i uninstall SE Development kit 13.0.1 (64 bit)  it works perfectly, is this ok? . . .

No. Please tells us what you have set as PATH and JAVA_HOME. We shall probably need more information than that.
