Hi,

Is it okey to start learning Android by using Head First Kotlin for a 2nd year student who is familiar with Java (meaning did few OOP student projects, understand and implemented concepts such as dynamic binding, inheritance etc, did GUI student app, familiar with servlet technology, http protocol, c# wpf app, familiar with xmal syntax)? I wouldn't want to "waste time" with Java by learning Android in Java, would like to go straight for the meat, meaning Android in Kotlin (kotlin for beginners).

And if someone can explain me Android programming differences/similarities with GUI programming? As I mentioned, I did one WPF app (with ADO), bunch of Windows and what not..

Cheers
