Is there a code I can enter that will allow the user input to work regardless if the user uses a capital “A” or lower case “a”? I’m writing a code that will allow the user to select packages a,b,c, or d

Can you please clarify what you mean by "allow the user input to work regardless"?  Do you mean you want your program to treat "a" and "A" to be essentially the same? If so, then try String.equalsIgnoreCase() and String.compareToIgnoreCase()
