I heard it is outdated, is it really helpful in today's date having  1Z0-808 certification.

Please help.

Opinions will doubtless vary, but Java8 is still regarded as a current version, so it is probably an exaggeration to call 1Z0‑808 outdated.
Do you need a new cert to find a job? Has somebody told you to pass the Java11 exams?

Campbell Ritchie, if I don't have the strict order to pass Java 11 exam and I need to find a job, will it be useful to pass Java 8?

I work for german software company and they still develop its software with 8 version. Actually I am learning for ocaj se8 exam
If I understand correct, 11 version is just update of 8, so there are some new functionality but the basics are definitely the same

I still think that is mistaken, but if you have been told to sit the Java11 exam, that is what you will have to sit.
