I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I can't get the code to recognize my list_item_crime_police.xml file. Can someone help me please? (Lines 17 & 75)

You can't compare a View directly to the ID from the R class. You need to use findViewById like you're doing for the other Views, and then use the equals method instead of the == operator.
