Eclipse maven projects pom.xml just randomly disappeared from the project explorer and other files

Something has happened on my eclipse beacause before my projects hade like pom.xml files and docker files and other files but now they have disappeared and even when I create a new project or import the pom.xml does not show.

Check your OS File Explorer (or do command-line directory listing) and see if the files have somehow been deleted (Eclipse should not delete anything you don't tell it to delete), Some Eclipse Views may simply not display "uninteresting" files, however, so you may have been using one of them.

It is in the map but it does not show in eclipse

Then like Tim says, maybe you need to use a different perspective in Eclipse to see those files.

I assume you're asking this because you need to see and modify them?
