it wont accept the code

What does this mean? What does or does not happen when you run the code? If there are error messages, post the full stack trace from the logcat.

the code wont compile the error states (cannot resolve method) as it requires int but if i try .getId() of the view then the error in in constructor as it requires a view ?? which is what its getting when i pass the layout to it but it has to be an int ?
