Incorrect statement: "Can only import code that came with the JDK", under the heading: "Single-file source-code commands".

I tested this and could successfully import a class that I created in a different package while using the new java in memory compile.

Welcome to the Ranch

Is that Boyarsky and Selikoff's book. Please quote a bit more from that page for those of us who don't have a copy, but it does look rather as though you have found a mistake. If you look here, you will find it appears not to have been reported before.

By the way: what version of Java® are you using? That behaviour may have changed if you aren't using Java11.

As with the other thread, it is wrong because I did not know this. Have a cow!
