Stuck at very basic level of methods

So I'm learning methods now, but it's not really clear for me so far.

import java.util.Scanner;
public class Test6 {
    
       public int twofold(int n) {
        System.out.println("The given number's twofold is:" + n*2);
       }

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        Scanner scan = new Scanner(System.in);
        System.out.println("Type in a number:");
        int n = scan.nextInt();
        twofold();
        
    }
    }

Here's the code. It's sinple, im trying to print the scanned number's double.
However I think the unknown (n) is not carried through the main method to the "twofold" one.
