Hi there,
I'm VERY new to J2EE and try to write an servlet for image management. The target environment is a WAS4.04 server (with Portal running on it). I've managed to get my servlet to produce results with
/MyApp/MyServlet?asset=myLogo.gif
(which returns the image)
Since "normal" web designer want to prepare pages offline and asked for
/assets/myLogo.gif
I'm using the IBM HTTP Server that came with WAS404.
Ideally the mapping should happen on the server side (tranparent to the client).
I tried to add some config into the httpd.conf:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule /assets/(.*)$ /MyApp/MyServlet?asset=$1
... but no luck...
Any help?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
