You are a very rare breed.

By the way, Disney+ is releasing the last Star Wars movie in the trilogy of trilogies.  Coincidence?  I.  Think.  Not.

My parents took me to see the original Star Wars trilogy at the cinema in my home town (sadly no longer there, has been a Vauxhall dealership and a Tesco Express since). All three movies, all in one day, with popcorn and choc ices in the interludes and everything.

I've seen some, but not all - not really in to the fantasy genre.  I'm a Star Trek fan.

I went with Ruth, just the two of us, and it was called Star Wars full stop in those days.

Back in 1977 when the first movie came out, it still took a few months after a movie was released in the US for it to come in theaters in the provinces in the Philippines so I'm guessing I saw it in the later part of 1977 or early 1978. I've seen all of them and I've been on the rides in Disney World, too. Galaxy's Edge was super cool but the waiting line was two hours long and it was raining when we went last December.

May the 4th be with you!

In what way is Star Trek not fantasy?  Especially the recent J.J. Abrams one, you can hardly tell them from Star Wars...I'm saying that as a fan of both.

Back in '77, there were no 20-screen megaplexes that had a showing of a blockbuster every 30 minutes.  The BIG theatre in town had FOUR screens.  There were no advance tickets.  I'm not even sure if you could buy tickets at 10 a.m. for a 6pm show.  I remember standing in lines that wrapped around the theatre for hours, waiting and hoping to get into a showing.
