AI has been used in card payment systems for a long time. Banks routinely monitor accounts for unusual spending patterns, including sudden increases in activity, unusual amounts, and charges from geographic locations not usual for the account holder.

It's pretty much essential, since so many banks and merchants have leaked account information.

Education won't help those who are proudly and willfully ignorant. They'll literally rather die before changing.
