The other day I told my little granddaughter what I had been taught at primary school, how thrushes smash snail‑shells against a stone. But I have seen them in my garden, and they actually make a small crack or hole in the shell, and then the whole snail comes out of its shell. “And what do you think they do then?”
Little granddaughter says, “Turn into slugs?”
 
Every plan is a little cooler if you have a blimp. And a tiny ad.
