Hi.
I am an newbie all-rounder and urgently require your help.
I have just installed WebSphere V5 Network Deployment and Appl Server on same linux machine.
Using web-based admin, I have set up datasource following some doc - DB2 JDBC Provider(XA) as JDBC Provider.
Now, in setting DB2_JDBC_DRIVER_PATH variable,
I have no idea what driver to use and where to put it. I have DB2 7.2 installed in remote machine and it seems that there are 2 drivers to select from: db_home/java/db2java.zip and db_home/java12/db2java.zip.
Which one to use and do I need to copy the one across to the machine where WebSphere is installed ?
I have no general idea of how to access remote database from websphere...

Hi,
In my experience, you need to install a DB2 client software in your machine which is running Websphere. Because you have to define the database you wish to connect in your local client. When you do this, the DB2 driver files will be installed in the local machine and you can access the database from websphere through your DB2 client.
