Thanks for the welcome back to CodeRanch. I'll do my best to check in a few times each day, so bring on the questions.
For what it's worth, I've been slowly working on this new edition of SiA for a long while. It started off as a relatively minor update, but as time went on I couldn't help but try to squeeze in some great new material. I ended up, a couple of months ago, deciding to step back and do a proper rework of the outline to not just squeeze the new stuff in, but give the new topics proper treatment. It's still not a complete overhaul (some chapters will be almost completely unchanged), but it's going to be a worthwhile update in the Spring in Action line. I've recently finished up a new section on Spring Data
JDBC and will soon be adding in some new Spring Security material. I've also got plans to cover RSocket and containerized Spring (e.g., running in Docker or Kubernetes), among other things. It's gonna be fun!
