What resources would you recommend to have in depth knowledge about how Spring Caching works?

For in-depth knowledge, there's no better or more definitive resource than the source code: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-framework/tree/master/spring-context-support/src/main/java/org/springframework/cache

For understanding in how to apply it in your application, however...well...I aim to include that in the 6th edition (although, be aware, that bit hasn't been written yet).
