On page 646, table A5, Show module resolution, the --describe-module flag is redundant (and ignored when actually running the command).

kind regards

Hi,

the book is correct.

in command:
   java --show-module-resolution --module-path <moduleFolderName> --describe-module <moduleName>
the
    --describe-module <moduleName>
part could be replaced by
    --module <moduleName/package.className>

I guess I understand it now. The --show-module-resolution option has to be combined with doing something else, like running or describing.
It only generates output while doing that something else.
